Guest or Migratory Birds in Bangladesh

Bangladesh host to a number of migratory birds in winters as well as summers season actual climate of Bangladesh is  suitable for the living of birds for this purpose we see various types of birds in Bangladesh. They differ in size and colors and there nature and different type of flying style. Maximum winters season birds has came from Siberia and summers season birds has came from Indian subcontinent in Bangladesh.
Bangladesh is home to an impressive number of species of birds that vary from residents, that stay some season to breeding birds, that spend a good part of the growing season in Bangladesh to raise their young, migrants who pass through Bangladesh with the seasons, to wintering birds who like to spend a good part of the winter in Bangladesh to escape for colder conditions. While many species of birds are relatively common as they are part of the ecosystems of the Bangladesh. Maybe it got lost during its travels between its summer and winter residence or it got displaced by bad weather a large suite of song birds, raptors, game birds, swifts and nighthawks etc. Many of which occupy several ecosystems at the same time they fly to forests, meadows, shorelines of waters, cities and urban green spaces. Bangladesh is a beautiful and agricultural country, so it has a lot of food grains, fruits, fishes, insects, trees and rivers.

Where found Guest or Migratory Birds in Bangladesh?

Sundarban is the main place of Guest or Migratory Birds in Bangladesh. Satkhira and Khulna is another place of birds. The winter migratory birds takes shelter to a place called Durga Sagar in the Barishal district and Tanguar haor is an ideal place for the bird watcher to visit during the winter months. Tanguar haor “also called Tangua haor”. The Pablakhali Wildlife Sanctuary in Bangladesh is located in the Rangamati District in the Chittagong division. The places in Dhaka city where the guest birds gather are Pilkhana, Dhaka National Zoo and Botanical Garden, Ceramic Lake (Mirpur), Jahangirnagar University, Gulshan Lake, Dhanmondi Lake and water-bodies around the city.

Teasing birds: The crow is a teasing bird, it is a very common bird in Bangladesh and it is very clever and it looks ugly and it feeds on dead animals and dirty things and kite is also of the same habit and nature of teasing bird

Song Bird: The Cuckoo , Shyama , Doweel, Koel, Mayna, Tia, Salik, Kokil, the Nightingale etc are known as song birds and Cuckoo is the most popular of all song birds. It comes in our country at the beginning of spring.

Game Birds: The Dove, the Pigeon, the Snipe, the Heron, the Pankauri are well-known game birds. They are famous for their flesh.

Birds of Prey: The vulture and the hawk are birds of prey. They live on flesh and fish. It has keen eyes and sharp nails.

Tailor Birds: There are some birds which build their nests with great skill. These kinds of birds are called tailor birds. The swallow, the Tuntuni and Babui are the tailor’s birds.

Domestic Birds: The Pigeon, the Hen and the Duck are domestic birds; they give us flesh and eggs.

Magpie robin is the national bird of Bangladesh. It is very common and very nice bird. It is medium size bird. It builds nest in bushes and jungle. Its tone is very sweet. It mainly eats insects. In Bangladesh there are approximately
35 species found of this bird and locally called “Doel”.
